Your own Minecraft servers, on your own computer.
Day1Craft is a self-hosted control panel for running your own Minecraft servers. Friends sign in with a Day1Craft username, then create, run and look after their own servers. Every server runs in its own locked-down Docker container. Everything stays on your computer.
What you can do
Run servers
- Start, stop and restart; save the world now.
- Back up just the world, or the whole server.
- Paper, Purpur, Vanilla, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, or a Modrinth or CurseForge modpack.
- Only Minecraft versions that really exist, from the official lists.
Look after players
- Live list of who's online and slots in use.
- Kick, ban, unban, op, whitelist, and timed time-outs.
- Join and leave history, stored as names and times only.
Mods that fit
- Detects every mod and plugin jar and which loaders it supports.
- Warns about wrong-loader and client-only mods.
- Recommends memory and CPU for your mod pack.
Invite friends
- One click copies the join instructions.
- Invite links open a page with the address, live status and launcher steps. No account, no IP address.
- ViaVersion for newer clients; Bedrock crossplay with Geyser and Floodgate.
Safe by default
- Every delete first shows what it affects and when the last backup was made.
- Permanent deletes need you to type the name.
- Archive a server instead of deleting it.
Panel or command line
- Everything the panel does also works from a terminal on the computer running it.
--jsonfor scripts,--yesto skip confirmations.
Get started on Windows
- Install and start Docker Desktop.
- Double-click Day1Craft.exe.
- Your browser opens
http://localhost:8080. The first account you create is the administrator. Save the recovery codes it shows you. - Click New server, then pick a type, version and memory.
- Press Start. The first start downloads Minecraft, which takes 1 to 3 minutes.
Downloads are not public yet. Day1Craft is in private development. To try it, ask through Help.
Hosting on the internet
Day1Craft runs the same way as a downloadable app on your PC or as a web app on a server.
Linux server or VPS
Point a domain at the server, open ports 80 and 443 plus your Minecraft ports, and start it with Docker Compose. Caddy gets the certificate, keeps no access logs, and is the only thing exposed.
Your Windows PC
Keep using Day1Craft.exe and put Cloudflare Tunnel or Caddy in front of it for the panel. Players still need your Minecraft port forwarded, or a game tunnel.
Privacy
Nothing leaves your computer
There is no Day1Craft company server, account or cloud. Day1Craft does not collect, send or sell any data. No telemetry or analytics.
No IP addresses
Not of panel users and not of players: logs and console output are scrubbed, servers run with log-ips=false, and bans are by name only.
Encrypted account data
Everything is stored in the Day1Craft folder on the computer running it, and account data is encrypted. Passwords and recovery codes are stored only as hashes.
